PROJECT OVERVIEW
Mike Egan is outgoing and charismatic and I wanted to convey this tone within the loft apartment. Throughout the design process, I wanted to represent his assertive, confident, energetic, and active personality with hints of different shades and tones of red, orange yellows and gold. These colours can be seen with soft furnishings such as cushions, vases and artworks.

However, with Mr Egan being a pilot which is considered a stressful career, I wanted to create a comfortable, welcoming home to which Egan could retreat and relax after the usual many hours of jet-setting and travelling to different cities and countries. I wanted to create a masculine, midcentury modern feeling by enhancing and using the following colours.

COLOUR PSYCHOLOGY
I completed a colour psychology analysis on the client and how it can tie with mid-century modern colours. During this process, I felt more comfortable and confident to select colours and fabric materials for the project.

MOOD BOARD
I wanted the mood board to evoke a passion for travel, masculine undertones with colour palette working with mid-century modern style.

LIGHTING DESIGN
The lighting design within the apartment is controlled optics that illuminate vertical walls to create a seamless, comfortable homey feeling.

FURNITURE SCHEME BOARD
I wanted strong masculine pieces that compliment Egan’s requests as well as complying with mid-century modern interiors, I enjoy making simplistic scheme boards to showcase the furniture items selected rather than overbearing pages and information to the client.
